Commissioned by LUSH, our arts profile of Kentucky poet Maurice Manning was the third episode in their ‘Matter is a Relative Matter’ series.

The film explores the origins of Manning’s poetry, both in the history of the settlement of Kentucky by Europeans and in his own personal history. Featuring lush nature photography of Southeastern Kentucky, Manning emerges as an important voice in our attempts as a planet to reconnect with the natural world
